CONTEST 45CS: WORLD PREMIERE AT BOOT DÜSSELDORF 2011
Contest Yachts will be presenting the world premiere of the new Contest 45CS at Boot Düsseldorf. Following the successful designs of the 50CS, 57CS and 62CS, the new 45-footer has a modern flush deck with integrated windows. With its third global launch in a year, the Dutch yard underlines the considerable market interest in its new line of Contest yachts.
Spacious and light interior
Compared to the other yachts in the same class, the 45CS has an exceptionally spacious interior with a headroom of two metres in the saloon, while the cockpit benefits from uninterrupted views in all directions. With a choice between two or three cabins and various saloon layout options, the Contest 45CS has the same superior finish as other Contest yachts. Although there is plenty of room for a large crew, the yacht can also easily be sailed singlehandedly.
Quality guarantees
The Contest 45CS is built entirely in-house at the yard in Medemblik. This permits continuous quality checks throughout the entire construction process. The hull is built in a sandwich construction using a vacuum injection method, which results in a very strong and lightweight yacht. As the largest semi custom-built yachtbuilder in the Netherlands, Contest Yachts is also one of the few yards worldwide to meet the strict quality requirements of the international Lloyd’s Register in this sector.
Seaworthiness first
“While our designs have visibly changed with the times over recent years, the main focus remains the seaworthiness and performance of our yachts,” says Director Arjen Conijn. “The modern designs of our larger yachts have clearly struck a chord with our clients who have already experienced the yachts’ excellent performance for themselves. This is an excellent reason for us to address the market demand for a new Contest 45CS in line with these new designs. And, as an interesting aside, the owner of the yacht launched at Boot Düsseldorf will have an Esthec deck instead of the traditional teak.”

Contest Yachts will be exhibiting at Boot Düsseldorf in Hall 16/C54. In addition to its Contest 45CS the yard will also present the Contest 50CS. The boat show will take place from 22 to 30 January 2011.
