Twelve months ago only technical drawings, computer graphics and a highly polished female mould existed. Now the sweetly drawn Contest 67CS is real and almost ready for release from her construction hall. The lid is on, the interior just going through finish detailing, the tech gear and hardware running through test procedures, and while the works team beavers away through these final stages, keel and spars are being readied for installation.
A new design from the new collaboration with judel/vrolijk, trialling will be a revealing experience and all signs point to an excellent delivery and on time handover to her commissioning owner in June. As we write, she’s heading to the paint shop for the transformation of composite hull to chic Midnight Grey livery. Meanwhile, the second Contest 67CS follows closely behind, launching just two months later. Keep watching!
